The Perfect Cup of Tea

I know when you read the title you will think it is a waste of time reading this post, but it isn't. This is a very simple exercise yet so many people get it wrong.

 The ingredients are:

1 mug
1 tea bag
310ml of water
A kettle
25ml of  milk

Steps:

Put water into kettle. I have said 310ml to allow some to boil away/evaporate but you only need 300ml. You then put the kettle onto the dock and let it boil to 100 degrees Celsius. Once it has boiled,  let it calm down slightly so it doesn't viscously rush out of the spout. Pour 300ml of water into the mug with the tea bag already in position. As soon as the water has been added, stir straight away to avoid getting scum on the top. Leave for 3 minutes stiring occasionally. After 3 minutes add the milk. Then attempt to pick out the tea bag with a tea spoon. If the liquid coming out of the tea bag is darker than the liquid in the mug, let the tea bag stew a big longer. If the tea bag liquid is the same colour, lift the tea bag and press against the side of the mug to ensure the tea bag is dry and you have got all of the goodness out. If it is too hot, leave to cool for 3 minutes or put the liquid into a jug and rinse the mug out with cold water to cool down the mug. Pour the tea back into the mug and serve with a biscuit if wanted (I would recommend a digestive)
Enjoy!!!
